The Pact

This was a painting I did for my Drawing class in my freshman year. We had to create a painting in which it looked like a still from our own animation. We were allowed to only used grey scale, which was pretty fun.

The story behind this picture is that the man in the foreground is a Greek solider who wants to be successful against his enemies in battle. So he makes a pact with the goddess of chaos,Eris, so she can cause havoc on the enemy's camp. But of course she wants something in return... Eris has had her eye on him and wants him for herself. After he wins his battles, she enslaves his heart so that he could only belong to her.
